You are deeply rooted in the travel industry and have been familiar with its dynamics for many years. As Team Lead for our Digital Travel Focus, you will work with senior management to build a new specialised team and strategically develop our travel portfolio. You will take on existing customers, turn new enquiries into high-quality digital travel projects and build long-term customer relationships. At the same time, you will establish clear structures, lead your team with empathy and vision, and create an environment where quality, trust and efficient collaboration come together. As the team grows, you will take on full leadership responsibility and, as part of our leadership team, play a key role in shaping the further development of pixelart in the field of digital travel.
Your tasks
- Team building & recruiting: You will shape this new area from the outset, identify talent, support recruiting processes and ensure sustainable growth and clear roles and responsibilities.
- Leadership & development: You will lead the establishment and further development of your team of digital travel specialists, promote individual strengths and create an environment in which consulting quality, customer focus and team spirit can flourish. You will support your team with efficient structures and clear processes.
- Coaching & mentoring: You will support your team in their professional and personal development and establish an open feedback and learning culture – with a focus on travel trends, digital best practices and modern working methods.
- Organisation & structure: You will be responsible for resource planning and team budgeting and will develop lean, scalable processes that ensure the smooth and high-quality implementation of our travel projects.
- Processes & communication: You will optimise the interfaces between customers, project management and your team and develop efficient, clearly comprehensible processes. Automation, transparency and simplicity are your guiding principles.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: You will work closely with your team and pixelart experts from areas such as data, analytics, tracking, performance, content and the creative department to develop holistic digital travel solutions.
- Collaboration with our leadership team: They will support you as strategic and technical sparring partners – together, you will continuously develop the organisation, working methods and quality standards.
What you can contribute
- Strategic thinking & consulting quality: You understand how consulting, KPIs, technology and digital guest and customer journeys interact in the travel industry – and clearly align these perspectives with overarching company and customer goals.
- Leadership experience: Several years of experience in a management position – ideally in the travel, tourism or digital services environment – with proven responsibility for team building, leadership and organisational development.
- People & team skills: You lead with clarity and empathy and create an environment in which your team can work independently, in a customer-oriented and motivated manner.
- Organisational skills: You think in a structured manner, plan ahead and ensure stability, quality and smooth processes in travel projects with clear processes and efficient use of resources.
- Coaching skills: You recognise potential, promote individual development and accompany your team on their path to personal and professional growth.
- Strong communication skills: You impress with your clarity, empathy and professional demeanour – both in leadership and when working with customers, partners and stakeholders.
- Change & growth mindset: You design structures, accompany change and integrate new ways of working – such as AI-supported processes, automated content and marketing workflows or modern travel tech solutions – in a pragmatic and solution-oriented manner.
- Hands-on leadership: You think in terms of solutions, make decisions and maintain an overview even in complex situations – especially when projects, teams or requirements in the travel context become dynamic.
Our Offer
In addition to great benefits, we offer you a full-time position with an annual salary starting at €70,000 gross (including holiday pay and Christmas bonus) as well as a performance-based bonus. We also provide you with a fully electric company car (including private use). Your actual salary will depend on your qualifications and experience.
