In a rapidly changing work environment – marked by skills shortages, hybrid models, and cultural diversity – clear values are becoming increasingly important. At pixelart, they are more than just words: they provide guidance, strengthen collaboration, and shape the way we work together – both internally and externally.

Our values are non-negotiable
01.
Capable. Friendly. Curious.
Our three core values are not an end in themselves. They are the foundation on which we build relationships, shape projects, and grow as a team. They are deeply embedded in our daily work and are consciously brought into focus – again and again. Not as a checklist, but as a mindset.
Values-centered Work doesn't just begin with the first project - it starts when you arrive. From onboarding to the team review, it is an integral part of our everyday life. The Values Hike is a special start: a conscious, slowed-down introduction for new colleagues. We leave the office together and make our way to Maria Plain. The focus is not on altitude metres, but on attitudes: What do our values mean to you personally? And how do they manifest themselves in our daily interactions?
At first, I knew that values were important, but the hike helped me connect them to my work.

Space for connection.
The Values Journey is not a lecture, but an open dialogue. It offers space for genuine connection, reflection, and exchange. Playful prompts, personal stories, and shared conversations help us to link our values with our own experiences. The individual perspective is especially valuable: Everyone interprets Friendly, Curious, and Capable in their own way – and it’s precisely from these diverse interpretations that a shared understanding emerges, one that truly carries us forward.

Perspectives that last.
Many participants later share that the journey was the moment they felt not just like a new team member, but like an active part of our culture. And that’s exactly what it’s all about: building a shared understanding – and the feeling that values are not just handed down, but that you have the opportunity to help shape them. This lived connection creates identification, gives meaning, and strengthens the sense of belonging. That’s how motivation arises from within – and engagement that truly makes an impact.
For me, Capable is not just about finding solutions, but also about taking responsibility – both for the team and for our clients.

02.
Values that shape our culture – day in and day out
Our values don’t stop with onboarding – they accompany us in our day-to-day work. Through conversations, retrospectives, and shared formats, we regularly reflect: Are we truly living our values? Where are they tangible – and where do we need fresh impulses?
Especially in the fast-paced world of agency life, it’s important to pause and reflect consciously. For us, working with values means taking a step back, reassessing priorities, and collectively considering what truly matters – in how we interact, how we collaborate, and how we make decisions.
When values are lived, dynamics shift: teams work with greater trust, communicate more openly, and take responsibility – for their actions, their projects, and for one another. Our clients notice this too. In the quality of our work, in the clarity of our communication, and in the mindset we bring to creating solutions together.
For us, working with values isn’t an add-on – it’s a central part of our culture. It creates meaning, strengthens a sense of belonging, and fosters commitment. Internally, it provides orientation. Externally, it shows what we stand for – and how we work.
