As an SEO Lead specialising in AI and GEO, you’ll develop strategies at pixelart that help brands remain visible, relevant and effective in this new search landscape.You’ll combine technical SEO, content strategy, data analysis, generative engine optimisation and AI to create solutions with real business impact. Working in an interdisciplinary environment spanning digital marketing, strategy, UX, development, content and project management, you’ll take on technical responsibility, further develop standards and unlock new search potential for teams and clients.
Your tasks
- Providing technical leadership in the areas of SEO, GEO and AI Search, as well as offering guidance to colleagues across various business units
- Further development of our service portfolio covering SEO, GEO and AI, including new methods, standards, consulting approaches and offerings
- Establishment of operational AI workflows for search-related tasks, for example for research, content briefings, SERP analyses, entity analyses, prompt libraries, automations and reporting
- Development of holistic SEO and GEO strategies for our clients and responsibility for their technical quality
- Analysis of websites, technical structures, content, search intent, structured data, entity signals and visibility in traditional and AI-based search systems
- Derivation of concrete measures in technical SEO, content strategy, information architecture, internal linking, schema markup, E-E-A-T and AI-relevant content structure
- Strategic consulting for our clients and presentation of analyses, strategies and results at decision-maker level
- Training and empowering internal teams from content, UX, development, digital marketing and strategy to ensure SEO, GEO and AI search are more firmly embedded in projects
- Collaboration on international search setups involving multilingual websites, country-specific structures, hreflang, local search markets, and scalable content and SEO processes
- Identification of potential with existing clients and development of concrete consulting, project and further development approaches
- Active support during pitches, tendering phases and new client acquisition where search, SEO, GEO or AI form a relevant part of the solution
- Ongoing monitoring of developments relating to AI search, AI overviews, LLM visibility, generative engine optimisation, structured data, content quality and search tools
What you can contribute
- At least 5 years’ experience in SEO, search or digital marketing, ideally within an agency, consultancy or digital business environment
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SEO strategies, ideally supplemented by initial projects in GEO, AI search, LLM visibility or AI-based optimisation approaches
- In-depth expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, information architecture, analytics and data-driven optimisation
- A good understanding of how search engines work, as well as active engagement with new search logics, AI overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, entity optimisation, structured data and AI-supported content and search optimisation
- Proficiency in using common SEO and analytics tools, such as Sistrix, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio or comparable tools
- Experience in using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or similar applications, as well as the ability to derive meaningful workflows, prompts, automations and quality standards for teams from them
- Experience with more complex websites, ideally including international setups, multilingual structures, hreflang, relaunches or e-commerce platforms
- The ability to clearly structure complex relationships, prioritise them and present them in a way that is understandable to different target groups
- Confidence in consulting situations and the ability to present strategies, analyses and recommendations convincingly
- A passion for taking on professional responsibility, helping colleagues to develop, sharing knowledge and helping to shape standards in the field of search
- An independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent German language skills at C1 level or above, as well as good English language skills
Our Offer
In addition to great benefits, we offer you an annual salary starting at EUR 67,200 gross (incl. holiday pay and Christmas bonus) on the basis of a full-time position. Your actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
