We are looking for a developer with focus on backend development based on Symfony. At pixelart you develop web applications based on PHP and corresponding frameworks, including database and backend connection and using the latest software development methods.

Your tasks
The PHP & Backend Web Developer develops various PHP applications in his team and supports the entire team - usually consisting of 4-6 other development colleagues and a team leader - with projects and special developments based on PHP/Symfony. You develop a wide range of tools, from a dealer search to product advisors, which our strategists and conceptionists come up with for our customers. Sometimes, however, it is also necessary to connect existing tools and customer systems such as ERP/CRM systems or to design new interfaces. The area and development of high-performance websites and shops will be a particular focus for you. The implementation, connection and expansion of PIM systems themselves will also be part of your exciting environment. Special topics such as automation or modularisation of software processes and systems round off your work environment. You will exclusively use the most modern software development methods and technologies already in use at pixelart. And of course you are free to bring in innovative new technologies and introduce them together with our team.
Our Offer
In addition to great benefits, we offer you an annual salary starting at 39,200 gross (incl. holiday pay and Christmas bonus) on the basis of a full-time position. Your actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
What you can contribute
- As a PHP professional, you bring at least 3 years of (professional) experience in exactly this position or in a similar position in the digital environment, including the necessary knowledge of the corresponding web technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of PHP, Symfony, Twig, Doctrine, as well as various tools such as Composer and Git. You also have an overview of frontend technologies such as TypeScript, SASS, Webpack, etc.
- Object-oriented programming, interfaces, namespaces and web services are not just show-off phrases for you, but part of your everyday programming life.
- Excellent knowledge of persistent data storage and relational databases, such as MySQL or SQL Server, but you also know when No-SQL databases are the better choice.
- Ideally, you have experience in automatic deployment and like nothing better than writing software tests.
- Self-confidence, the ability to assert yourself and deal with conflict, the urge to "stay on the ball
- Studies in multimedia/computer science or comparable training, self-study/autodidactic also applies here
- Experience with commercial and open source CMS or blog systems (Adobe AEM, TYPO3, Pimcore, Sulu, eZPublish, Drupal, etc.) an advantage
