As a Senior PHP Backend Developer, you will be part of our development team and responsible for the backend architecture and technical development of our digital travel platforms. You will work hands-on, think in terms of systems, and design sustainable solutions.

Your tasks

Design, development, and operation of scalable PHP backend systems based on Symfony for international travel platforms
Development, maintenance, and optimization of complex integrations with booking engines, payment providers, CRM, and other systems
Responsibility for code quality, architecture, and technical sustainability throughout the entire project cycle
Analysis and optimization of existing systems in terms of performance, security, and stability during high traffic periods and seasonal peak loads
Implementation of modern API architectures such as REST or GraphQL as well as clean data and integration concepts
Close collaboration with project management, UX UI, frontend development, and customers from the travel industry
Active participation in the development of technical concepts, code reviews, and our digital travel solutions

What you can contribute

Several years of experience in backend development with PHP and very good knowledge of modern frameworks such as Symfony
Experience in setting up and further developing complex, scalable backend systems and API-based architectures
Confident handling of databases, performance optimization, and the integration of external systems
Experience in operating productive web applications, including deployments, monitoring, and error analysis
High quality awareness for clean, maintainable code and experience with code reviews
Structured, independent way of working and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams

Our Offer

In addition to great benefits, we offer you an annual salary starting at 56,000 gross (incl. holiday pay and Christmas bonus) on the basis of a full-time position. Your actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
