Digital B2B transformation: how Hawle is building a scalable digital ecosystem.

Since 2018, pixelart has been working closely with Hawle, an internationally active group of companies in the water supply industry, to develop a digital platform that connects products, services, and markets. What started as a website has evolved into a scalable digital ecosystem that serves the entire group.

One platform. Built for international growth.

Four brands and companies, multiple countries, tenants, and numerous language versions now operate on a shared Pimcore platform. CMS, PIM, DAM, and MDM provide the foundation for structured content, consistent product data, and centralized master data management.

Built on this foundation, the platform supports Hawle’s international B2B operations with automated data sheets, a customer login area, TCO Calculator, OpenSearch, and flexible functionality tailored to different market requirements. Global standards remain centrally managed, while local needs can be implemented efficiently. The result is a platform that reduces complexity while creating the flexibility needed for continuous growth and evolution.

CONNECTED B2B COMMERCE

Digital services aligned with real B2B processes

Shopping carts are created directly on the website, relevant processes are synchronized with SAP, and digital services are seamlessly integrated into existing workflows. The result is a solution that combines deep technical integration with an intuitive user experience.

The foundation for a scalable B2B portal

With the integration of e-commerce into the central platform, the foundation was laid for a deeply integrated B2B customer portal. Professional partners can research products, manage warehouse locations, and oversee inventory across multiple sites. All functionalities are seamlessly integrated into their daily workflows.

SINGLE SOURCE OF TRUTH

A central asset management system for the entire Hawle Group

With the implementation of the DAM, a central source for all digital assets across the Hawle Group was established. Content is managed in a structured way, intelligently tagged, and made available across brands, markets, and use cases – enabling consistent brand experiences, more efficient processes, and seamless collaboration across the entire organization.

IMMERSIVE PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

An immersive product experience for complex solutions

The interactive 3D world provides an intuitive way to explore products, use cases, and relationships that are often difficult to communicate through traditional product catalogs.

Making complexity easy to understand

Built on CAD data and WebGL technology, the platform delivers an integrated product experience that supports consultation processes and makes technical information more intuitive and accessible.

CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION

The foundation for the next steps

For Hawle, digital development is not a one-time project but an ongoing part of the company’s evolution. New markets, services, and requirements continue to emerge, and the platform provides the foundation to implement them step by step.

This is where the value of a long-term partnership becomes clear: a well-established team, deep system expertise, and the shared ability to turn business requirements into tangible digital solutions.
